save yourself a ton of trouble and call a local wrecker company. they **** that right up on a rollback and put it right where you want it. you'd be shocked how often they move yardbarns ect.

    Lift Failure....

I've seen the cables fail like that. Looks like one side was locked in and the other side wasn't. You have to maintain lifts like everything else, They're not made of Cryptonite. Dosn't matter what brand it is.

    Air compressor

I used the blue flexible hard line from the PVC store. It will bend 90 degrees. No fittings at you bends. Dosn't rust . The end fittings are a little pricey. I put one fitting dedicated to my sand blaster, one between the garage doors and on to my hose reel. The hose reel is the cheap one like...

    drywall question

I'd get a good utility knife and some extra blades and trim off the bottom the drywall a 1/2" or so. Cove base (the rubber base molding) would work well, It's a little costly though. Make sure you get the proper cove base adhesive to attach it to the wall.

The old garage was built in 1928. I repainted it red and white and am going to make it look somewhat like an old Standard service station. I would have much rather had the same type of siding on the new garage but it cost too much. I thought about painting the siding on the new one, but, thats...

    The MaxJax Portable 2-Post Lift

Ok, So I've got 6" floors and a 10' ceiling. Did these two in anticipation of a small lift in the future. This one looks like what i need, except, all i've seen so far is a bunch of Porches', Ryan's Model A coupe, and a Cobra on one of these. Will it lift a '57 chevy, a '50 mercury, and an '02...

    And so,,,,,it begins!

Ha Ha! Old post ,but, I must defend myself. My first car was a brown 78 chevette. Hated it. An old friend and myself were at an old Chevy dealership auction. They hadn't thrown any of these away over the years. My "good" buddy bought me that as an inside joke sort of thing. So i had to hang it...
