What's a cheap way to insulate hot water pipes underground?

I've seen that black solid (no drain holes) corrugated 4" drain pipe used. Rather inexpensive no joints and flexible. Ron

    62 to 69 in 2 hours 15 minutes--Typical

Ya your right I looked it up. Check out my post 14. On temp rise. Sounds like for some reason the gas valve is turning off and on before it hits the set point. Could be a limit doing it job because of another problem. Or a faulty limit. See what your temp rise is at the furnace. Ron

Cycling on and off during the call for heat. What type tstat you have. Some older stats have a anticipator setting under the cover. You can remove the stat cover and see if you do. If so there should a arrow pointing to the word saying longer. Record the present setting and move it several...

    62 to 69 in 2 hours 15 minutes--Typical

I'm just saying there's lot of variables to discharge temps at the registers. You need to start at the furnace and see if it is at spec. Temp rise I've seen we're the inlet gas pressure was to low thus making the manifold pressure low. This can lower the BTU rating of the furnace. This time of...

    62 to 69 in 2 hours 15 minutes--Typical

That 103 temp seems a little cool. But lots of things can effect it. Check at the furnace air in air out. On name plate on furnace there should be a min. Temp rise and max. Temp rise. Example. Min. 40 degree max 70 degree. So if in temp is 60 and out temp is 120 you have a 60 degree rise...

i need a carrier furnace expert.

Watched the video. My first thought is the venter motor is pulling more amps because it's old or worn. In the board there's a relay that that closed to power the venter. Venter motor is powered with 120volt relay in board is low voltage. So the relay has a primary side low voltage and a...

    Thermostat Question

On your new tstat do they have battery's ? If so you should be able to hook your existing two wires one to red the other to white. All your doing with the stat is completing the circuit on the call for heat opening the circuit when temp is reached. Hope that helps. Ron

    Unit heater vent pipe condensation

I have to agree with djjsr. I think you have negative pressure issue. Where you have cold outside air sucking down the warn pipe causing the condensation. If you had a positive pressure in the space. Warm air would draft up the flue pipe. You might get a little condensation from pipes in none...

    Building Another Garage.

Thanks for the update, I like the way you held in the plate bolts. Nice work it's always nice to have a nice flat surface to work from. That picture of waiting for concrete to cure brought back memory's. Seems I remember sending the wife to pick up some work lights to finish the slab. Ron
