    Mustang II rack and pinion ?

    I've been looking over all the stuff to do it with, but I don't want to get anything yet until I verify the "cylinder" or whatever I'm suppose to call it. Mounts are the toughest part since I don't have the AC pump for belt tension adjustment.

    Good idea, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I haven't had much reason to look up casting numbers until recently. The only thing I've had to look up was the casting number on the 302, but it wasn't where it was supposed to be, but I think that's a good clue in itself ('80 to 81').

    Well, I'm not a purist, but I do like racks of all kinds. I didn't know of another name to call it. Going back to when all American vehicles had the old Pitman arms the only name I knew was rack and pinion from the British sports cars. What should I call them now?
