    Rocksolid garage coat tan giveaway

If the tan works as well as the grey did, you guys will love this product. My Grey has been down for about 9 months now I think, and it is still looking awesome. Dropped tools, things dragged across it, no marks yet. Oh and oil and fluid leaks, NO PROBLEM. I have an English car, it marks...

    Rack for Axles

Yeah, I was referring to your axles Brent, what year were the wide 5 Ford wheels? My father in law had a farm trailer built with a Ford axle that had those wide 5 pattern wheels, still with the Ford hubcaps. When he junked the trailer I know it got about 200 bucks for me at the swap meet with...

Repairing a vented small engine block

Had that same repair done many times when my son raced go karts. Briggs blocks weld up well too. Funny those little flathead lawnmower engines can really make some power but can also make one hell of a big bang when that rod comes apart at almost 8K RPMs. We even JB Welded a block at the...

    Rack for Axles

Those appear to be early for auto axles if I am not mistaken. Is Timken another name for them? I know the one that came out from under my Model A years ago looked like that before a guy ran over and hauled it away to his stash of Model A stuff. I put a Ford 8" under my Model A when I built it.

    Harbor Freight (!) Driveway Alarm

wow, look at that a spammer. I am fine with the thread being revived though, I think I am going to look into one of these to put inside the garage to let me know if there has been anyone in there. Like the 19 yr old sneaking in that way to come home in the early AM hours

What are you guys using for parts washer fluid?

I too use Stoddard solvent. I have used it for over 10 years in my Harbor Fake tabletop parts washer. It too said no solvent based chemicals in the pump, but it did fine until I was cleaning it out and dropped and broke the pump. I guess a 10 year run on a washer I looked at as a throw away...

Does anyone see anything odd about my dash insert?

My 56 Nash had a really nice set of 6 fly legs under the clear just above my drives door on the roof. The painter apparently just flicked it out of the base white and then cleared over the top. it really bugged the **** out of me but over time the legs have become sunfaded and you have to know...

HELP I need some parts ID help

I found that the product is used in machine automation a fair amount, small driveshafts etc. The driveline shop couldn't quite wrap their heads around what I was asking for, they asked if this was for a model car or something. At any rate we have found sources, thanks for the time guys.

HELP I need some parts ID help

I am not a machinist or mechanical engineer. I am an Electrical Engineer in need of some help identifying some mechanical parts so I can go source raw materials to repair a piece of equipment in our shop. The manufacturer tells us the machine is now a legacy product, in other words we will...

    Storage Ideas - Big Items

A shed? I built one just to get all that big, non car related stuff out of my garage to give me room to work. And I have a second garage that will become the wood shop over the next year (I hope).

    Painting pics for wayfarer project

Do you have a build thread anywhere on your Dodge? I am building a 50 Plymouth Suburban 2 door wagon. Are you going stock drivetrain or have you swapped?

    Rust Never Sleeps

My understanding was that most Jeep vehicles were titled as Willys thru the mid 60's though the Willys name was pretty much dropped. It looks like from what I have looked up that from 41 'til 53 it was Willys-overland, 53 'til 64 it was Kaiser-Jeep and did business as "Willys Motors"

My local Home Depot has cameras watching self check out, does yours?

Why can't the cameras catch the a$$holes that always poke one screw out of the bagged hardware and you get home and find it is short one of the 5 screws you just paid for and counted on for the project at hand.

    Compressor automatic drain valve?

the diagrams I have seen show the 3/8' port hooked up to the drain at the bottom of your tank and the 1/4' port on the valve hooked to as you put it the place your airline is hooked up, and whenever the compressor tank pressure drops below 20 psi the valve will open and drain any condensate from...
