My shop door is in the same position. I did not realize the problem until the overhead doors were installed. It is the only thing I don't like about my building but my door swings out and it is not that big of an issue for me.

I am in central Kentucky and just had a 30x40x12 built by some Amish guy and his sons. I would recommend finding someone like that in you area and give them a call. Most Amish I have seen do good work and they do it very reasonable.

Mine is like the one from wood magazine as well. It was a fun project as I am a beginner at woodworking and it was really easy to do the plans are easy to follow and it has a cutting list included. I put French cleats on mine so I can remove it from the wall more easily.
