Walk-in closet for Porsches

Right now around 16psi. When I first got it running again, I set it at 18, which is my target. I'm just a little concerned that the A/F ratios are showing a bit lean at full boost (around 13:1). I may need to move up to bigger injectors. I just don't want to end up replacing the head gasket...

It goes on... Drilled and tapped the head for a Lindsey Racing Steam Vent kit, which helps solve a coolant air pocket around the number 4 piston: 20190624_105545 by Jeremy Mayne, on Flickr[/IMG] Installed, just need the vent line that taps into the coolant reservoir: 20190624_111319...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Wow, it's been nearly two years since I added to this thread! How time flies. I haven't really done much to my garage space, except lots of projects. My last post about the 944 Turbo had me flat bedding it to a shop for a no-start issue. Turned out to be the ECUs (yes the car uses two, one for...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Thanks! It was a satisfying job with some quality results. Just the kind of detailing challenge I like. Had to send my 944 Turbo off to German Motorwerke this afternoon after spending many hours trying to to solve a no-start problem. Really annoys me that I couldn't figure it myself, but at...

I actually used Meguire's gloss vinyl protectant gently applied with very fine steel wool, wiped clean with microfiber cloth. I wasn't sure it was going to work, but was pleased with the result. That trim could also be repainted, but I didn't want to get into that if I could avoid it.

Another car I had in the garage for a detailing was a Cayman S, in Basalt Black. It was already pretty nice, just a lot of micro-scratching and somewhat dull paint. After a thorough hand wash, it looked very good, but I know I can make it better: 20180515_201553 by Jeremy Mayne, on...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

I enjoy detailing, especially if it really involves some challenging paint correction. Here's a 928S that my brother was selling, so in it came to the garage for some cosmetic refurbishing. Decent looking car, but paint had seen better days: 20180222_205707 by Jeremy Mayne, on...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Been a while since I posted since we've been busy using our new space, which has been just awesome, and busy working to pay for the addition! Here's a recent project I did on my 944 Turbo, which always handled well, but really needed a suspension refresh. Later 944s use a sealed front strut...

My multi-purpose (small) garage - In Norway

Very nice garage with clever use of space. I also like the posts about your cars and bits about life in Norway. I have an American friend who lives in Oslo and would love to visit some day. I love Porsche transaxle cars so I appreciate the updates about your 944 Cup racer. Very cool! And I've...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Thanks! I've enjoyed your garage thread. Other than my daughter's E36 convertible, we've never owned any Bimmers, but my brother's crazy about them. He has an E24 Euro 635csi that he just loves and also an E36 M3, an E28, and an E39.

I also made some progress on the first work station. The bench now has drawer faces and pulls, and the pegboard and wire shelf are in. 20180122_170452 by Jeremy Mayne, on Flickr[/IMG] Thanks to the new storage, I was able to start moving stuff out of my trusty Craftsman rolling tool...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Okay, big moment for the addition; can you fit three cars in a two car garage? Yes, as long as they're small! Really, to make it possible, I always knew one would have to be on car dollies, so first first up for the ride was the 914. 20180103_074738 by Jeremy Mayne, on Flickr[/IMG]...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Finally got the Amorpoxy floor down in the garage. It is definitely time consuming! It came out pretty good, though not as professional looking as some of the floors I've seen here on GJ. But it looks good and seems like it's going to be very durable. Epoxy base in Medium Gray, flakes in red...

    Walk-in closet for Porsches

Happy New Year! I haven't posted an update for a little while, but I've been making steady progress. Here's a few pics of the final details in pantry. It's amazing how nice it is having some new space to use. It eased up the clutter in the rest of house quite noticeably! Sliding barn door, and...
