Wow, thanks for all the feedback. I didn't mean to start an argument with my post. I see where back feeding from the shop could be dangerous, and I cannot rely on my wife/kids (or myself) to always do this properly. I will have to either install the generator at the house and run a gas line...

Yes, I think those numbers are correct. See generator specs picture. the loads would be in the house. I was hoping I could use the power wire that goes to the shop as the feeder cable to the transfer switch in the house. Maybe I am dreaming.

So you are saying to run straight water? I was talking to a local guy, who is running straight water in his system. Never had a problem.
