Ah, I know exactly wher you are now. My cousin lives down the road in Fullerton. Are you zoned commercial or residential. I am sure you have checked into what the taxes would be too.
I would put expansion joints around the perimeter. I also would saw cut my expansion joints. That way you have only 1/4" line and you won't get your creeper stuck in it.
I'd figure 30-40 dollars p/square foot 50'x60' = $100,000.00
With a building that size and depending where you are located you could save a lot by using steel siding on the back and sides and dress up the front with brick and or the new cedar shake type vynl siding. The siding companies are...
First of all it would seem that the seams were not placed away from the prevailing winds. Second, make sure that you have the srcews with the rubber washers placed every 24" - 36" along the roof panel mountains. This where the panels overlap. If one and two are correct than you should be fine.
FYI, 10 years ago I built my two story garage. I had an engineer here at work size the beam. He was a Structural Engineer. He died last year. The depth of the garage is 26foot and the width is 32foot. The beam runs front to back. We sized it at as a W8x18. This is twice the size of yours. Also...
What a great idea. I love the varnished plywood floor and the carpet. The garage looks like a high priced Hot Rod Lounge. You should be proud. Do you take your shoes off when you go the lounge area?
I am a Mechanical/Civil Designer and I never spec out anything more than 1/4/ft. I also do concrete flat work. You'll never notice 1/4/ft. The only time I would worry about sloping in a garage is away from an interior doorway so that the snow melt doesn't form a puddle where you take your shoes...
In order to provide a surface for drywall and to stenghthen the corner; one wall will end with a doubled up 2x4 and then the wall that starts perpendicular to that will have its first stud nailed to the ends of those two; using an equal sign and a I, I'll show you.

Alright, I have run into this quite a few times. You actually don't need lift your building up at all. If your sill is rotted , chances are your studs are rotted also. You fix this prblem forever by going with the following procedure.
1. Double up 2x6 to make a temporary header.
2. Support...
I wouldn't have taken that door. Have you priced hardware yet. I wanted to buy just a single panel one time and decided against it when I found out that a single panel was as much as a whole door kit. Also, I would not install without a spring on both sides with the safety cable strung thru it...
I have the Scotts 17HP x 42" Deck. I bought it new 8-years ago. I change the oil twice a year and follow all the grease and lubrication instructions to the tee. The only thing I have replaced is the spark plug and battery. My wife laughed at me this weekend, she caught me washing it. What...
I like it. I'm sure you know where everything is too. If the yellow motor is going into a Samuri. What model is the purple boulder holder from. I haven't seen one of those in years. I used have a 1962 model that had one like that. Ah, those were the days.
I did a splice between 6-3 underground and 6-3 indoor in my garage. I used the split lug connectors. The box I used was a 6x6 in which I added a box extension. This worked out great with plenty of room. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the photos I took if you'd like. Remember, be...
