Thank you all so far for your replies I do like the empty pill bottle idea even for taps and I like the metal box idea too.

So I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and I have two sets of taps and dies in their original plastic cases. These take up a lot of space in the toolbox. We only use a few certain sizes anyways. So I'm trying to make some space. Are there any other ways to store taps and dies in smaller containers...

It's getting to be a pain in the *** to move my gargantuan box around. I have to move where the work is. That's why I thought a couple smaller boxes would be easier.

I just keep thinking how the old timers I started out working with worked their entire careers with a 26" or 30" tool box. Now most of us have to have these landing strips of tool boxes that cost 15 plus thousand, and if for some unfortunate reason I had to move jobs I don't need a a wrecker to...

That's an awesome setup! Thank you for the up close pics of the side box. I know mine won't be perfect lining up on my Mac box but I'm not dropping $3,000 on a Mac side box! Looking forward to getting mine. Hard to believe though that black is a special order but oh well.

Yesterday I went to Menards and I ordered a black Masterforce side box to mount on my Mac MB box. I just wondered if anyone here had one and had any pictures of it with your tools in it. I'll have to wait a week or so. In the the meantime show us pics if you've got them. Thank you.
