Re: what did you do in your garage today? Got 2 blades on my celing fan damaged the other 2 mounts so they will have to wait untill I find another free fan to scavange them from. Also tested my theory on infrared powder coating curing, test one is a success.

I would glue the 2 layers together, We had an Epoxy wood glue back when I was in High School wood shop that was the same stuff used to glue plywood at the manufacture.

I would go with a corian counter material, you can get close to the same look but not have to worry about it cracking or being way heavy.

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Hung the new celing fan mounted to a cut Enkie wheel. THE blades will be license plates, the pull string now has a sparkplug for the grab.

Just stumbled onto this site. I share a 40X40 shop with a 20 X 40 second floor with my Father (lives next door) It is full of unfinished projects right now but we are committed to finishing them up and geting the shop workable again.
