Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

I see. Where does the extra cost come from? Is it from having to remove the shell to place the insulation between it and the frame? Is some sort of woven insulation still feasible after its built or does it have to be foam board? Thanks for the offer, i will pm you. Also, i have not pursued the...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

Its not the price of labor + the insulation, its the amount of money i have available that makes it an absurd amount (to my wallet). I really wish i could have it done now and be done with, i just can't get another $8,500 right now. Sorry if i offended you (you seem irritated). Sent from my...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

Agreed 100% greg13! This building im after is built for 45psf snow load, 12 gauge framing, 4' centers (instead of standard 5') and 140mph winds. Our area is 35psf snow load and 90mph wind so i think for my area, i am "over built". I really appreciate yours (and everyones!) Feedback. Thank you...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

They company claims they do not offer thermal break tape. The only 2 options are the double bubble and woven r17. But they want $5,850 for the woven installed on all walls and roof and $2,900 for the double bubble. Im going to stay away from the bubble insulation but i think thats an insane...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

So they gave me 2 options.. The bubble insulation and a woven r-17 Should i just opt for the thermal break tape and use foam board? I called the inspector and hes not too familiar with steel buidlings and said we'll have to go with whatever the blueprints call for as far as the foundation...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

Thanks all, a lot of information to take in. Im located in PA, my Zip is 16333. We are close to a snow belt but are not in it. So if i have them instal the installation, im guessing they put it between the frame and siding? Thats what keeps the frame from sweating too? Will i need a vapor...

Steel 30 x 40 coming this summer, questions

Hello, ive been in touch with a company to have a steel building installed on a slab this summer. Im planing on a 30x40 with 3 doors. Two 10x8's (frame outs for insulated doors) and an 8 x 8 on the side, nothing special. But im wondering how sturdy i should have it made? I opted for 12 gauge...
