I cosidered doing this when my wide and I fist got married. Buy 50-100 acres much of which had been clear cut. Then build 2 or 3 car with apartment above and save $ to build the house we wanted. Kids came too quickly after we thought about this idea and now we just cannot do it, 4 kids.
