Is this Craftsman speed wrench missing a part?

Got the same set.. just picked up the 1/2 on ebay a year or so ago. I've had the 3/8 since about the mid 70's, it never had the middle spinner like the 1/2.

Show us your vintage speed wrenches

I've had the 3/8" since about the mid 70's when I got it in my starter Craftsman steel tool box set with your name plate. I aquired the 1/2 on ebay, seemed it was very close to the same time frame as my 3/8 based on the end spinner knob. I've used the 3/8" a ton with starting lug nuts or rows...

    Show off your DOE's!

3baygarage, this.. reminds me of the combo nut drivers we had when I flew radio control planes. One fit the glow plugs, another usually the wing bolts, yet another the prop nut.

    Show off your DOE's!

Thanks! If I had to guess, I would have guessed =V= was earlier. I "thought" my standard DOEs were older than my metrics. But that was a long time ago.

    Show off your DOE's!

So it seems all but one "standard" are =V= . All the metric are -V- , and one standard (the lone -V- standard is all the way to the left). Please share the difference ? (I assume year of manufacture?). See below.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Conveniently, see my post above this one.. So the wheels came in over the weekend, and when I dumped them out onto the work cart, I was like, these things are huge, I must have smaller ones, the other number, on mine.. But the eyes were playing tricks on me... they are exactly the same.. so...

    Show off your DOE's!

Thank you! I'd have to look and take a pix of the dark side of 'em. Try and remember the next time I'm out there. The CM are about 40 years old if not older. Yea, that's the only reason I keep 'em, butcher 'em as needed to fit odd ball trouble makers. The 15mm CM is ground down thinner than...

    Show off your DOE's!

I have some old Craftsman I got for xmas as a young budding wrench turner. And some probably came from my dad, as he got his combo's. I've got odd balls from who knows where that came with what ever. I have more stamped steel ones that came with like chain saws and stuff , and bicycle tool kits...

Been looking at new Stud finders, what's up with Zircon Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx models??

Thanks Rob, been there, read that, doesn't explain the duplication and of the model lines. (Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx models) (if it does, I missed it) I am in no way associated with Zircon, at all. It was just bugging me after reviewing the datasheets side by side of all 16 models. My guess was it's...

Been looking at new Stud finders, what's up with Zircon Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx models??

Thanks , I did read that one and a few others hoping someone saw the same riddle I did within the above mentioned Zircon model lines. I'm not looking for the "best one", but what's up with the repetitiveness/ duplication of the Zircon models lines (Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx models) , or did I miss...

    Zircon SuperScanner models?

So I've been a DIYer for years. I haven't bought a new stud finder in about 10 years. In searching I found a riddle with in Zircon. They have 4 SuperScan model series that look like each other. The sub models in each model series just replicates each other. Model lines are Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx...

    Tool Truck question

Before Amazon, when I've passed a few trucks parked at garages and stopped in to say hi and asked to shop. I was never turned down. I only did it when I was wanting some special tools in mind. But with amazon and other online shopping, I don't bother any longer, and frankly don't see as many...

Been looking at new Stud finders, what's up with Zircon Hx, Kx, Mx, and Wx models??

I've been a DIYer for ages. I've had a few different stud finders, guessing it's been 10 years since I've bought one. I was looking to see what's available today and came across a riddle. I was looking at Zircon's offerings. And really hit the riddle. They have 4 families of finders that look...
