I have a 125k btu hot dawg that I bought new, I live at 6800 ft so installed the high altitude kit.. It turns on and runs great then turns off after about 15 min and gives the 7 blinking code...
Any ideas ?
Hey guys thanks for the info.. so looks like 80,000 BTU is conservatively enough so I"m going to 100k BTU..
Next question what style ? i'm now thinking https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_996398_996398
thoughts ?
Finally getting around to putting a heater in my garage..
It's 50 x 50 , insulated 15 ft ceilings with 22 ft peak.
I"m thinking 200-250,000 BTU..
I am installing a bathroom so want to keep it above 32 deg.
Will be propane and hung in one corner.
I"m sure will be ordering online ...
just finished a 50 x 50 ft steel garage 15 ft ceiling with 22 ft pk. moderately insulated. Was going to do a 250,000 btu propane heater but and thinking a pellet stove might be a) cheaper for fuel and b) on the ground so would not have the issue of getting the heat back down to ground level...
Wonder if you think this will be cost effective? Costco has these on sale.. Not sure how many I'll need but looks like a good way to go.. My garage is 50 x 50 with a 4/12 pitch and 15ft wall height ..

Damn I hate punctuation I meant I'm at 6800 feet , above Reno.. Reminds me of that quote about helping my Uncle Jack, off his horse :-)
I'll get the insulation numbers as yes it's insulated.
I"m in the middle of my 50 x 50 x 15 steel building garage.. I'll be heating with propane.. Any suggestions or calculations as to how many BTU's my heater will need to heat it ? It won't be continuous , just when I'm working in it.. would also like to keep it above freezing in the winter however...
