Battery chargers are beginning to really tick me off. (Slight rant...)

battery guy here .. yes dumb 12v chargers are among the best tools available to service lead acid and LiFePO4 batteries .. but not all dumb battery chargers are the same. now days AGM are becoming more common and to a smaller extend LiFePO4 and gel for motorcycles. AGM, gel and flooded cell...

reed 406 vise rear swivel jaw ?

I've got a Reed 406 too .. it's a beast! started to sell it a few years back but changed my mind. sure glad I did because Reed 406 sure has been handy repairing giant hydraulic cylinders. not too many vises open up wide enough.

    Snappy YA700 floor jack-opinions

just scored an old Snap-on YA700 for $50 .. which was a fair price considering it leaked out all the fluid. filled it full of fluid and YA700 works fine with cylinder shaft in good condition. but I don't trust any jack that's leaked out all it's fluid, it's going to need a rebuild kit.

    Moving an Air Compressor

warning this tactic can be real dangerous with a top heavy compressor like IR T30. mine was only 440lb and I nearly dropped it. had it strapped in to an appliance dolly with rear extra set of wheels. when I tipped it over ... was not ready for weight on top. normally rear wheels would catch...

    Vintage Snap-on Torque-O-Meter... worth it?

just finished using an old 1/2 Snap-on Torq-o-meter to 133 ft lb on a KTM 200 left hand crankshaft nut. normal Snap-on click torque wrenches only torque one direction. been a long time since this old wrench came out. but sure glad I had it.

checking in on your project .. WOW .. what craftsmanship! there's a term for someone that's highly skilled at a LOT of disciplines. polymathic is the term I use ... polymath were folks like Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, etc. here's a pic of R80G/S which...

definitely leave it alone .. restoring it would ruin it as it's all original condition. did go through entire bike replacing service parts to get it back running proper again. it's solid enough to ride anywhere. this R90S is not weather beaten at all, in minty unrestored condition .. my photos...
