How about putting them on top of some of that plastic shelving that you see at Wal-Mart sometimes? This would provide you a waterproof base while maintaining your stock counter height. To me, being a little on the short side, this is important!
Thanks for the quick replies guys. This would be the house to tank line. I'm not planning on a lot of heavy trucks driving across it with the exception of probably a concrete truck when the floor is poured. I guess one time or one hundred times probably doesn't matter driving across it though.
