Hey Guys...I picked up a Texaco pump island light pole sign and can't seem to find any info online about it. I understand the general principle behind it although I'm wondering if it was a good deal or just trash. The sign itself is a two piece sign about 2x4'. It came with the original instructions and was new in box and near mint condition. Wondering if anybody else has run across these. Thanks!

Sorry I can't tell you much. If you determine it's junk, send in my way! LOL! I remember them from the 60's, maybe into the 70's. It was a temporary advertising sign for some promotion or another or to tie in with an ad campaign (your's). I remember helping put them up as a kid. They were usually thrown away after the campaign period was over or when the next promotional item came out. Not too many remain. You were lucky to find one that had never been put up.
