don't discount sharpening a round mini-pick and wedging it under the ring from the side of whatever it's retaining.. usually there is some clearance there and you can "bite" into the ring by rolling the pick over like a ladyslipper pry bar. Cleaning up all the oil with some brake cleaner helps...

My 4 year old love being in the workshop too. I numbered all the drawers on the toolbox so she could grab me stuff "Please hand me the pliers with the red handles from drawer 8" Other than that I find her attention span is pretty short for any actual project work. She's good to go for cleaning...

Same here.. I keep my head off to one side of the danger zone (the large shower of sparks helps you remember to do that) and I wear a leather apron and glasses when I'm running it.

That snap on deal looks too light. Tire irons don't need to be fancy but they should be very smooth on the surface that the bead slides on. I haven't met on yet that could take be made better with a flap disk. Definite good advice from dan on if you're forcing it your doing something wrong...

No armor-all or paste wax? Does applying a protective coat after cleaning count as cleaning? What about Fast Orange to clean yourself? Probably wouldn't hurt to throw a $5 mini-pick set in the box too to scrape crud out of cracks that the brushes aren't getting.

Sure are... 14.99 for the set every couple months on sale...:lol: but don't worry boys I'm starting to drink the kool-aid. I just ordered the 3 piece set of 120xp's yesterday (they finally showed up in the system at carquest)
