    How remove internal retaining ring

don't discount sharpening a round mini-pick and wedging it under the ring from the side of whatever it's retaining.. usually there is some clearance there and you can "bite" into the ring by rolling the pick over like a ladyslipper pry bar. Cleaning up all the oil with some brake cleaner helps...

    Kid activities/chores in the garage

My 4 year old love being in the workshop too. I numbered all the drawers on the toolbox so she could grab me stuff "Please hand me the pliers with the red handles from drawer 8" Other than that I find her attention span is pretty short for any actual project work. She's good to go for cleaning...

    Angle Grinders - Blade Guard

Same here.. I keep my head off to one side of the danger zone (the large shower of sparks helps you remember to do that) and I wear a leather apron and glasses when I'm running it.

    Hydrometer Battery Tester

Thanks for the tought on parallel charging wizard. I've acutally been tackling them one at a time though I see where I kind of suggest in my first post that I'm doing them all at once. I've been leaving the car size batteries overnight on 6A and the motorcycle and lawn equipment batteries on...

    Hydrometer Battery Tester

Hey folks, It's a balmy -10F here today and expected to get colder, so yesterday I wandered around and gathered all the batteries out of everything I didn't need for the next little while and brought them in for a nice cleaning and overnight on the charger. I also picked up one of these little...

    tire tool for farm use

That snap on deal looks too light. Tire irons don't need to be fancy but they should be very smooth on the surface that the bead slides on. I haven't met on yet that could take be made better with a flap disk. Definite good advice from dan on if you're forcing it your doing something wrong...

    Bolster's "Toolbox for Cleaning Stuff."

No armor-all or paste wax? Does applying a protective coat after cleaning count as cleaning? What about Fast Orange to clean yourself? Probably wouldn't hurt to throw a $5 mini-pick set in the box too to scrape crud out of cracks that the brushes aren't getting.

27" UltraPro Full of Mastercraft Well, finally dawned on me while I was out in my (obviously luxurious) shop that I had my camera with me and should probably add my 2cents to the toolbox thread. 27" Ultrapro ULT 69730 & 69760 cabinet full of some well loved, mostly Mastercraft, tools.

ok, this one is really weird

You're missing a serious recreational opportunity if you do anything other than grab a pellet gun, grab a lawn chair, grab one of those 1million power spot lights and a nice tall cup of rum and coke. GO VARMINT 'JACKIN IN YOUR OWN SHED!... great fun.. just ask any redneck you know.
