    Tennessee 4 car plus Garage

Thanks for the kind words. Getting the last bit of concrete formed today. Hopefully pour on Friday. The upstairs is pretty much finished other than some paint touch ups. The car is '31 Model A on '32 rails with a 59AB Flathead. Pretty good coverage of it's build here.

    Tennessee 4 car plus Garage

Finally got moved here full time in July and been spending a lot of time getting the hangar and shop all set up. I'd considered building the garage myself, but finally decided to contract it out. Glad to have made that decision and couldn't be happier with the results so far. The garage is 2...

    Floor Expert in Nashville

I used these guys to grind and polish my hangar/shop floor after the original contractor screwed it up. They were great. http://www.vintageresurfacing.com/

    Great service from Kelco

I bought an old Kelco blasting cabinet years ago. It always worked just well enough that I didn't want to tear into it or take it out of service. A couple of weeks ago it got really bad so I called Kelco. Talked to their service dept and they emailed me a manual but it needed more than just...

Sick to my stomach, 41 yds of jacked up floor.

I had a similar experience with our recent hangar project. The weather turned the day of the pour and it just got away from them. The result was areas of de lamination or really wavy and rough. I ended up calling in the pros to get it ground and polished. They took it down grit by grit...

    Tennessee Hangar Project

The taxiway is fine, a little bit of tree canopy in a couple of spots but no problem with planes the size of mine. And yes, the runway is the other side of the pond.

That's another hangar project on the adjoining lot. The row of small trees is the property line.

    Tennessee Hangar Project

No big progress lately. Got water run, driveway installed, electric conduit buried. Getting some quotes for polishing and sealing the floor. On second thought, that's pretty good progress. Still about 2 weeks out for the door delivery. Getting ready to put California in my rearview mirror.

    Tennessee Hangar Project

Thanks, I wanted something that looked like it belonged there and something a little "old timey" looking also. I've got a couple of lubsters that I'd like to restore and really like the color schemes dome of the guys on here have done with their Texaco stations, so those colors were also part...

    Tennessee Hangar Project

Finished the siding and the trim. Now it's on to the apron and sidewalks, also waiting for delivery of the hangar door. Also time for a broom and dustpan from the looks of it.
