Looks like the Amazon price has gone up, but the ebay price is still good as well as the 15% discount. I've had my eye on these for some time and the cheapest I'd found was $580. Thanks titus211 for the link. Got one on order.

I have the Rapid Air 3/4 inch system. Getting it thru a 90 degree bend might be tough. It does bend, but it's fairly ridged and a 90 degree might put a kink in it. Just my 2 cents.

I went with the Quincy. For about $400 more the warranty and quality of build is so much better than the HF. I totally understand budget issues. 3 kids in private school, etc, etc. I had to save and scrimp to get the Quincy, but I am happy that I did.

I made two work benches from solid core doors I sourced from Craigslist. Paid $20 for 4 solid core doors. They have taken everything I've thrown at them. They are heavy and solid.

I have a friend who has a 5,000 sq ft one. He said it is very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. His is insulated. His assessment swayed me to go stick built. Very happy with my decision. My 2 cents.
