    cutting pallet racks

I have cut pallet rack uprights down to make a workbench. Just cut out the diagonal bracing, cut them to the height you want, and weld the bracing back in. My welding *****, so Im sure they are not as strong as they were, but it works for my purpose. They make great work benches. I used...

    Detached Garage Questions/Build

Here's mine. 40x54. 15 foot walls. Two 14x14 doors. Three man doors. 14x40 for loft across the back. I love the 14 foot wide doors! So glad I did the 14s and not the 12s. A big consideration for your door size is the driveway approach. Is it straight in? Or curved? You want to make...

Whats the best material to line the inside of a workshop?

5/8 OSB. Primed and painted. Works good, no maintenance, hang things anywhere, last long time. I do have sheet rock on the lid and around the bathroom/sink area. I covered the sheetrock around the bathroom and sink with FRP board. Awesome stuff for areas that may get wet.

    Pressure washer ?

I have a Honda gx160 2700 psi pressure washer. Probably 10 years old. I think the brand is Excel. Used the snot out of it and finally replaced the the water pump with an aftermarket pump. It works even better than when it was new. The Honda motors are bullet proof and very easy to work on...

    14ft lofts/mezzanines?

I have a 40x54 with 14 foot walls and loft across the back wall. Just like BJCoupes says, I wanted to be able to have 14' doors on the gable end to fit bigger RV's and not o have any height restrictions. My 14 foot walls actually are closer to 15 feet because they sit on the foam blocks which...

    Pallet Rack Workbenches??

Hello- brand new to the forum. I've been digging through hundreds of post on building workbenches and general garage organization. I have a new shop (40x54, two 14x14 doors, 15 ft walls, 14x40 loft, finished with 5/8 OSB) that is complete with the exception of interior organization. I'm...
