    The hole underneath the light is about 3 inches in diameter and unfortunately the ground wire is just capped off with a wire nut and not attached anywhere.

    That wedi board seems extremely convenient, what do you use on the joints? BTW, love the mix between the house and garage. I am learning a lot.
