Converting motion light to an outlet

Are there any tips or anything else that I specifically need to covert the following light fixture to an outlet?

Will the box you have shown cover the entire round gang box that was installed to mount the light?

Also, where is the green screw to ground the round gang box? It is made of metal is it not?

The hole underneath the light is about 3 inches in diameter and unfortunately the ground wire is just capped off with a wire nut and not attached anywhere.

Be prepared to have an ugly outline of the round box showing with the new rectangle box installed. You could probably minimize that by installing a double gang box instead.

Since you are replacing a surface mount with a surface mount that should work fine.

The only difference I can see is the paint and texture difference of the round bos inprint and the smaller rectangle...
