    Epoxy edge question/issue (wolverine)

I sometimes tape off the EnduraShield about a 1/4" to the 'outside' of the LiquiTile so that it can cover up that edge. I know you don't have any more material to do that. Maybe Wolverine will sell a small touch up kit of urethane that you could use?

Floor Epoxy job didn't go so well...

Thanks for sharing Chris - I can sympathize. When stuff starts going poorly it can really happen fast. At least you are at peace with the outcome. Regarding the second mix cooking off quicker, do you recall if you might have left it sitting in the sun while you were dealing with the first...

Cove Base, Stairs, and Border on the Apron

I forgot to mention - the color mix - its all Wolverine LiquiTile 1184. This floor took 9 gallons of 1184, and the mix was: 1.25 gallons of Brown resin 4.75 gallons of Sand Beige resin 3 gallons of hardener

    Advacoat

I don't have information about this product specifically. There is a lot of information on this board about polyaspartic polyureas and comparisons to other systems. Personally, I stay away from using coating systems that are only polyaspartic polyurea, as I don't like how sensitive they are to...

    Metallic Installation

Actually, the pics were taken the day after the installation, just before I put the urethane on. I timed it when I was doing the application and waited until a full hour after I did the mix to put the MEK texturing on. I think that helped it 'stick'. I think I'll try something a little less...

    Metallic Installation

I used Key Resins Copper color - I used MEK for the texturing. I'll use something else next time I expect, as aerosolized MEK is no fun to be around.

Cove Base, Stairs, and Border on the Apron

Yes, the front apron is a darker color. Its a tinted polyurethane. And yes, there is urethane on the floor as a topcoat. I think the topcoat is not on yet in some of the pictures, but I can't remember for sure.

    Metallic Installation

I did this recently on the floor in a party room / bar in a lake house. I'm really happy with the texture and appearance!

Best product to seal patio/garage roof?

Some pics from the finished coating. The stucco on the walls will be redone before closing.

Cove Base, Stairs, and Border on the Apron

Some pictures from a recent installation. I used a mix of Sand Beige and Brown from Wolverine to make the colors. The walls are scheduled to be repainted and the stucco redone, so I didn't worry too much about hitting them with epoxy.

    Flakes without top clearcoat?

$1000 in materials to put down a good coating on 1,4000 sq. ft. is not out of line (in terms of what it costs, not in terms of your expectations :) ). Professional installation of 1,400 sq. ft. would cost you north of $4,000 depending on what you have installed. If you are looking to get the...

    Flakes without top clearcoat?

The flakes are a very soft acrylic that is easily damaged. If you don't seal them in then it will be easy to mar them or even 'smear' them across your floor.

Lingering ODOR polyaspartic polyurea decorative flooring

Lingering ODOR polyaspartic polyurea decorative flooring

If you are going to have to take up the floor anyway, then you could cut and scrape off a sample and get it to ARDL (www.ardl.com) for analysis. They can tell you quantitatively and qualitatively what you have causing the off-gassing problem. However, if the contractor admits to adding 25% NBA...

New garage and confused on floor covering to use

There are epoxy coatings to handle all the heavy lifting situations you described; some are more expensive than others. Also, don't be fooled into thinking that a concrete paint will hold up better to the uses you described than a properly applied epoxy coating.
