I did this recently on the floor in a party room / bar in a lake house. I'm really happy with the texture and appearance!

Nice! Looks like Autumn Blaze color, am I right? Did you use mineral spirits or denatured alcohol?

Any of you flooring guys do work in Chicagoland?

Or know of a reputeable company that performs this type of application?

Its like pulling teeth trying to find someone. Everyone around here just does acid staining and regular epoxy.

the pic looks like it was taken as soon as it was sprayed. Do you have pics of it after it healed itself a bit?

Actually, the pics were taken the day after the installation, just before I put the urethane on.

I timed it when I was doing the application and waited until a full hour after I did the mix to put the MEK texturing on. I think that helped it 'stick'.

I think I'll try something a little less volatile and noxious than MEK next time.
