    Converting Balder Motor

It’s a 1 hp farm duty motor. Here’s a link to the whole wiring diagram from their site: https://www.baldor.com/api/products/FDL3510M/drawings/CD0269 I haven’t opened it up to verify but I don’t believe a starter is present. This is being used on a log splitter Cheers

Thank you. That wasn't an option I considered given it was in a "join" column! :)

    Converting Balder Motor

Hiya Folks, I have a Baldor motor that I am planning to convert from 120v to 240V. I'm not near the motor until later this week so I'll have a peek under the electrical cover to see if they have a diagram but in the meantime, when I search Baldor's site for the model number, I find a wiring...

Milwaukee 12V mini portaband + 4 Ah battery $123.24 at Grainger

Got mine last week. They originally cancelled my order (was definitely not one of the first to place an order). I moaned a bit but they wouldn't budge. On a whim, I called them early last week and they reinstated the order.

    Plumbing with pex

Stay on them. I broke down and ordered from them as well and it arrived timely.

    Plumbing with pex

I saw the kit available for $359 at Coastaltool.com Not sure if that makes it a bit more palatable for you. It's not the fuel version but might work for you.

Re-doing some Plumbing...pex or stick with Cu?

I sure do. Still have to make the transition from Cu to Pex but I'll just solder those adaptors on.

Re-doing some Plumbing...pex or stick with Cu?

Solder has definitely changed and the fittings as well. With the push to remove lead from the equation, I too have found it to be more difficult to solder. Seems to need a lot more heat than before but that could just be me. Cheers.

Re-doing some Plumbing...pex or stick with Cu?

The motorized valve I purchased is able to be exercised manually with a hex key. I'm hopeful I need to use that feature but it's there just in case. I'm also placing a shutoff valve upstream of the motorized valve so if it does **** out, I can swap in a new one without having the village...

Re-doing some Plumbing...pex or stick with Cu?

Thanks folks for all of the inputs. I'm leaning towards using pex and soldering on fittings to the existing copper. I just can't sign up for sharkbite fittings right now....I'm sure there are a lot of real world success stories with them but being down in the dirt and such, I just worry...

Re-doing some Plumbing...pex or stick with Cu?

Hiya Folks, I'm far from being a plumber so was looking for any advice from those with more experience. I've got a small cabin in the woods that has city water. Years ago, I moved the main shutoff in the crawl space to be closer to the access to the crawl space. At the same time, I...

    Removing OLD ceramic kitchen tile....

I've removed a lot of tile and wouldn't be without the rotary hammer to do it. Makes it relatively easy. Another tool I use is one of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/42-in-long-reach-air-scraper-62687.html It works on most of the stuff and the rotary is easier on what's left or in...

Best place to buy attached lid storage containers/totes like they use in warehouses? And what brand is the best value?

I purchased a different style of tote (ie. separate lid, not hinged as you are looking for) from Global Industrial. For what I was looking for, they had the best prices for their house branded totes. I specifically wanted polyethylene totes to better withstand cold temps. Unfortunately...
