In my experience, factory or nothing. Specialize in a brand of truck, like Peterbilt or Volvo or International. Then get the tooling and software for that brand. Special tools will kill you. We just got in a special tool for the International Maxxforce engines, at $5000.
I have the CP717 at work. It drove king pins out of an old rusty Mack like nothing. Highly recommend this hammer. The best part, is SMALLER than your 3050. It has a good trigger on it. tap tap tap, then full bore.

Yeah something like that. I want something that will engage as much surface area as possible. On the Internationals, not all of the filters have the 36mm hex. A lot of them look like this...

Went out to Lowe's today and picked up a 2" (my most commonly used size) and a quick change arbor for just over $31. Lenox brand still shows Made in USA!:thumbup:
