How many wrench sets are too many

I like the hand carry box idea. I recon I could use it as a travel/loaner set as well. Even though I already have a cheap set of tools in most every piece of equipment I own. (4 plow trucks and 3 Tractors)

How many wrench sets are too many

It has more been a progression from harbor freight, to tekton to snap on. Im not a fan of "good enough" for long term tools. Im not trying to stack em deep. The cheap stuff just has minimal value on the used market. Although I suppose I could build out a set of Travel/loaner tools.

How many wrench sets are too many

I've found myself creeping up on 3 sets of conventional metric combinations wrenches as I upgrade. Once I factor in my ratcheting wrenches it feels like alot. Do I start building multiple boxes, keep them all In one, deep storage, or liquidation? Looking for input

    What is your Pet Peeve?

Also the 4 door 3/4 ton pick up trend. I dont understand why someone would pick a 4 door 3/4- or 1-ton pickup as a daily commuter. It is a waste of fuel and a waste of manufacturing resources. I understand that it is a good choice for some circumstances, but the maneuverability and...

    What is your Pet Peeve?

People who abuse manufacturer's warranty, weather that means buying something already broken, breaking it through negligence, or running it out to the end of its practical life span, then attempting to warranty it. Abusing the warranty, A, takes away from a company's margins, which harms the...

Dewalt: Hog Ring or Detent Anvil

As an actual owner of the Dewalt pin detent, I actually have no issues pulling the socket off by hand. The detent pin has a taper on the end making it possible without the use of a punch. Go cheaper and buy the pin detent. worst case you can buy a replacement anvil in hog ring style and swap it...

    New vice from hf.

Realistically most vices above the very bottom of the barrel will have a reasonably good service life as long as sized appropriately and used responsibly. This would be a great practical candidate for something like a welding shop, where spatter and grinding would ruin a vintage vise.

    2020 Garage Sale Thread

Picked up this vintage craftsman 6 droor of facebook today for free 99. I never understood why people liked these boxes until getting this. My father had one growing up and it always seemed flimsy. his was a model from the 90s/ early 2000s. This one, that im assuming to be older, is much heavier...

    The WELDERS of Garage Journal

This is my little solar 2120 that I received as a gift from my father at age 15. currently have it in the house working on some modifications. Notice the ground connection has been swapped to dinse connector. Trying to decide weather I want to swap to euro mig gun connector, or grab a used #2...

    The WELDERS of Garage Journal

All welders whether common or not can be posted here, and as for "welders" vs "welding machines" I chose that title out of familiarity, having spent a lot of time lurking in the vice thread. I figure if even one person finds an uncommon or obscure welder for sale, and at least see a picture of...

    The WELDERS of Garage Journal

All the time we see threads about welders, but it would only seem fitting they have their own dedicated thread like vises, tool boxes, etc. Could also potentially help others decide on welder choices. So lets see them !!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

That vise will be used for my more mild vise endeavors. Im big on not using a vise for a press, and not grinding/cutting objects in a vise, especially one of this caliber. as for my other vises, I have a columbian d44 m5, a 4in dunlop, and a littlestown vise.
