    hard scale in the toilet - can't remove it....

    Orthophosphoric acid? Here in Berlin tap water is super hard, so this is what's sometimes used to clean off the really hard scale. Often sold as "rust remover".

    Made in W. Germany I got these two items on a flea market. One is the box full of tools made in West Germany (probably in the 1980's). The other is a couple slip-joint pliers made in 1980 by WILL, Neustadt (today it's OrbisWill). The box has everything made in W. Germany. Combination pliers...

    How much do you use 1/2" drive sockets?

    I use metric 1/4" exclusively (although I do have a set of 3/8" just in case). But then again, I don't work on cars - just doing stuff around the house, assembling/tightening furniture (using hex bits with a 1/4" square adapter), overhauling the bicycle etc.

    Socket rails which, in turn, are kept in fabric tool rolls together with some pliers and screwdrivers.
