I was reading this thread as I have ~40 lights I need to purchase and install in my shop. $40 x $11 (current cost) is much better than $40 x $23 or even more.
Of course, I'd be pretty upset if over half of them died within a year or so like someone on this thread.
For those of you...
I was hoping someone could check my sanity.
I have a 48 x 42 Pole barn with 16 foot eaves.
The pole barn has four 12 foot wide bays.
For lighting, I'm planning on 32 twin bulb T8 fixtures. This will be ~2000 watts.

The basics:
Central Oregon, high desert, pretty dry
Cold Winters!
48'x42'x16' Pole barn with concrete floor
Metal Siding & Roof

But my roof has a fiberglass reinforced vapor barrier between the top of the roof...
for those of you with Prodex installed on walls and ceiling, does it do a good job at keeping the heat in?
I've read people say that it's good at keeping the heat out, but not in. I'm not sure I believe that yet...
I was curious if the prodex helped with your heating?
I've read people say that it's good for keeping heat out, but not for keeping heat in.
Thanks,
Daniel
