The added "Iron Maiden" type of belt cover that was around it was unnecessary too - but someone thought otherwise in the 100 year old welding shop that it was in.
People add some "interesting features" at times to machines and vehicles - some are useful and some leave little to be be desired...

If I was in the market for another type 181, I would prefer on from the Bundeswehr with the reduction gearboxes - as they came from the factory with limited slip. My other un-boring car is my 66 VW doublecab

Thanks ! It was leaning up against a wall buried in filth. The guy had four vintage Sioux valve grinding machines set up along one wall - also covered in decades of dust - a scrap metal guy tossed those into his dump trailer.
The only significant Proto item I have other than a few odds and ends is this puller set I bought/rescued from a home based shop that was going to be razed for "progress/development" in a nearby city.
