Love the cars!
I got one of those weird little cars they forgot to put a radiator in too!
Mine is a ‘90 with a hot rodded 3.8 and a fairly sorted suspension. I think it’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
A local! I hope to catch one of these on on W Huron River Drive between Main street all the way up to Territorial. What a great cruise spot....
2018-Porsche-911-Carrera-S-1586903065 by mactexas, on FlickrA friend of mine had a BMW M5 V10 years ago that he installed aftermarket headers on - he eventually sold the car and kept the OEM headers in his storage unit which he forgot about. We were there a while ago looking for some other parts and I noticed the headers on the shelf - they were positioned in a way that I could see that the 'skull' shape would appear if they were bolted together at the ports.
I bought them from him & bolted them up - now I just need to buy some dark red marbles for eyes!
Good to know that I'm not the only person that picks up parts for cars that they don't own... yet. My wife has figured out the pattern so she's always wandering around the garage asking "what car does this go on?" to see if I'm scheming some kind of crazy project.
I don't know how I've missed this thread.
Awesome fleet, congrats! If I ever grow up, I want to have a collection like this![]()

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL cars, but back to the GARAGE............
I saw how you had the garage door tracks hug the front wall / ceiling line, but I didn't see any openers. What was your solution?

Nice garage. Incredible cars. That Arena red 993 is beautiful and one of the best Porsche's I've ever seen. Before this thread, I had no clue that was the name of the color, or that the specific body style is called a 993. Never been in a Porsche before, but I can appreciate beauty when I see it.
Great stretch of road! Mind the cyclists and ever present Imperial Troopers.
Awesome collection! Maybe I missed it, but what did you use for garage flooring?
Hey, we like the twisty roads too, and some of us are even car nuts as well. Believe me, we don't want to get hit by you any more than you want to deal with the involuntary manslaughter charge.Screw the cyclists! They're such a PITA.
Didn't go through the entire thread. Probably been asked before but What brand of flooring is that?
It's called Mylec Dek Mat - https://mylec.com/dekmat/
I wanted something that was non-slip, porous and could easily be removed in large sections for periodic cleaning. The Dek Mat allows you to un-snap large sections and roll it up like carpet. Very strong too.
Garage and collection are looking great. I never go on Rennlist anymore (rarely here either) but you may recall trading some seats with me a few years ago. Still have the Misanos in my 993, but wish I had kept the sport seats. Hope all is well with you!
Sweet garage and even better collection!
Do your recessed lights give you enough lighting to work on your cars?
Don't ever grow up...
Screw the cyclists! They're such a PITA.
Nice models and artwork in your garage!
How are the plans for the garage extension coming along? Looks like you’ve done a nice remodel of your existing space. Dark greys and wood on the exterior of the house and garage looks great.
Hopefully she gets an air cooled VW, unless it is a VR6 with two doors and a manual gearbox. Nothing recent from VW is worth having.Cute better half wants a VW.…. I said mine would be a newer 911 Turbo and me no care if it’s used but has to come from a Porsche dealer!
Thanks for the additional views of your garage! Are the overhead giant panels - printed photos on aluminum panels ?Well, that's a good question... There was/is so much to do with the house that I decided to halt the garage extension until several other significant projects had been done.. It's a tricky plot of land that sits on a bluff overlooking a chain of lakes, with a considerable gradient from the street down through the property to the water's edge. Lots of mistakes had been made previously regarding the diversion / drainage of rainwater flow, so I decided that prioritizing other areas and taking some time to learn how heavy/prolonged rain impacts the house would benefit the design of the new driveway, and in turn the expansion/addition.
