    Nail set or other tool to drive nails deeper into subfloor

    I added screws next to all the nails before I put down wood floors on the second story. Buy screws with torx heads. Don't get Phillips head screws. They strip to easy.

    You are over thinking it. You have what is required to install. As long as you install to the manufacturer's specs and you use the lift properly you will be fine.

    ceiling fans?

    I have 2 mounted on a 12' ceiling. The shop is 28x23. One came out of the house during remodel and the other was a nos garage sale find. They help circulate the air. A big *** fan would be nice but the price was right on these.

    I too wish I didn't get the low profile arms. The front arms are too short and the front and rear arms are 2 stage instead of 3 stage.
