I added screws next to all the nails before I put down wood floors on the second story. Buy screws with torx heads. Don't get Phillips head screws. They strip to easy.
You are over thinking it. You have what is required to install. As long as you install to the manufacturer's specs and you use the lift properly you will be fine.
