Hello all, How many of the members have ceiling fans installed in there workshops? Pictures?
I've got 2. helps in the summer to keep it cool, and in the winter I reverse them. usually run them on low. both on a dedicated circuit with a single speed control that burns out every few years (really should be on their own speed controls).
these are the ones I have. not really heavy duty but at least they "look" like they belong in a shop and don't have cardboard blades that sag over time.

You can go separate but we had several fans per control at work. Just buy one of those industrial jobs with the heat sink on the back. They are actually pretty cheap but not found in the big box store. They need their own wall box, as they cannot be ganged because of size and heat.I've got 2. helps in the summer to keep it cool, and in the winter I reverse them. usually run them on low. both on a dedicated circuit with a single speed control that burns out every few years (really should be on their own speed controls).

Hi, taking your question literally, it's doubtful you'll ever get a an accurate answer to the total number of members that have ceiling fans or pictures in their garages. However since you most likely were not asking literally, but rather figuratively and are just curious about other's installs and a request for photos of same...I submit the following:Hello all, How many of the members have ceiling fans installed in there workshops? (sorry, but I thought those of us with only 8 foot ceilings and dreams of installing a motorcycle lift should be represented here.)
