I thought the trigger tap to switch modes would be annoying but it isn't. It's not quite as powerful as my m18 mid torque but it gets lots more done than the 1st gen. I have the subcompact 3/8 as well (also tap for mode) and it's become my most reached for impact.

I bought it for interior and trim work. It's awesome one setting 2 for small screws/plastic. In other news, on special buy is the fuel 6.5" m18 saw with either an xc5.0 or impact driver (your choice)...

    New Snap-on 14.4v 3/8” Flex Head Ratchet CTR851

Man. I don't have any snap-on electric ratchets but this is tempting. I'd prefer it in a extra long neck version though.

It does. The 2.5ah batteries have a higher amp output but supposedly less capacity. The higher capacity is why there are higher failure rates of the m12 3.0 and 6.0 batteries, as they are a higher stressed chemistry iirc. In real world use I think the 2.5 & 5.0 basically match longevity in...

I've rebuilt one m12 3.0 with newer samsung cells that died. The same ones used in the HO2.5. Not completely terrible if you can desolder and pop the spot welded tabs off. Here's the innards before iirc

On the icons, I like the smaller LED for close work and maybe better CRI. Plus the magnet is stronger. Only buy on sale though. I have 2, one with the led flipped.

How'd you like that spot blower? It's been a few years since I warrantied a battery but I think I just reused a prime bubble mailer for a bag. A thick Ziploc should be fine, as long as it doesn't need to be an anti-static bag.

I'd like to see it knock some heavier duty bushings, sleeves, etc. loose. Promising with that hub tho. In other news, just ordered a 3rd drill. The m12 brushless subcompact 3/8".

If you want the subcompact m12 drill, home depot has it for a few more hours for $70 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12V-Lithium-Ion-Subcompact-Brushless-Cordless-3-8-in-Drill-Driver-Tool-Only-3401-20/334336071

Ewww. Ball detent drives me mad. My 18" matco locking flex (3/8" drive) is probably my most used ratchet now. The detent would cause issues for me getting smoothly around objects one handed.

Diameter of the shank of the shaft on the bit used. The part inserted into the tool. The larger size is typically on a stronger/heavier duty tool.

An electric striking hammer that does similar work as a pneumatic "air" hammer. Something to add to your addiction/tool stable. Hoping it does well when they test them. Kind of a tough sell at $600 a pop tho, if it doesn't work as well as pneumatics ones.

Whaaaaaa? That's sick. But yes gen2 .498 is needed now. I wonder how long a 5 or 6ah battery lasts on it.
