I have the asymmetrical version with no issues. Much more used for cars. But also trucks. Love it. Same lift pretty much. No complaints.

Mohawk lifts are individual pistons per side. You can actually move one side and not the other should you chose to. They are independent of each other. Rather slick set up. But you pay a good premium for them.

But if you have a two post should be able to get the height of the lift within a 1/2” of where the wheel would just slide on. I use a long pry bar to rotate and or lift just a hair to get set when hanging the wheels from my duramax.

It’s do able. Here is mine. Welded I beams to the trailer. Then bolted the main poles to the I beams. Worked great.

My two post is 17ft from the door and that’s the minimum I would go. See picture below. Anything less and you are getting close to not being able to walk behind a CCLB.
