Not sure if this is the right place for this question or not, but pouring a final ~10x40 slab in my shed (long over due)...this is going in a metal quanset style metal building.
My concern is, there is already a footer/foundation there, but too high that I can't use it as a strike off...

Don't remember how many rafters, but I recall them being about 24 in o.c. way out close to the wall where I cut. So must be a good 8 plus rafters tied to main roof support at peak to this wall.

This was a exhaust for a wood burning stove.
It was put in as close to ext wall as possible thru a hip. Where it landed in the attic space would not all you angle 6 inch double wall. So was either that or move the where it would no longer be centered.

Putting a wood burner and as luck would have it, I have to right where a rafter is ( yes rafter not truss).
So to get my exhaust through, had to cut out about 10 inch of rafter
I just supported the rafter by coming straight down with 2x on to structure...
