I have a rheem 50 gallon water heater i want to use for domestic water in my shop. It's has a hot water pipe coming out the top, but no cold water pipe coming out the top. My question is, can I bring cold water into it from the bottom tap on the tank? Like what's in the picture.
Well I previously had a 50 gallon tank with 4500 watt elements I was using, but I was given a 75 gallon tank with 4500 watt elements. So I pulled the 50 so that I could use it in the mezzanine for domestic. And now replacing it with the 75 gallon. But I didn't see those little plastic...
I'm not sure what you mean. I had a different tank on the system but got this new one and it's bigger. It is a closed loop system. The tank is strictly for the infloor heat. Is that piece of plastic an anti siphon? And should it only be on one side like the hot. Thanks
What are these plastic inserts in the pipe? . The one on the hot side stayed in the pipe. The one on the cold side came off with the copper fitting. Are they needed? What do they do
Wondering if I should try and remove the bottom valve in the first picture so I can replace it with the valve in the second picture so I can upgrade my floor heat. Both tanks are rheem. I won't get into details. Lol. You guys are awesome
I'm putting in new hot water tank. I noticed a little rust around base of last one. Would it be OK to put something like hockey pucks under the tank so any moisture or condensation doesn't sit in direct contact with the tank. It would also enable me to see if any puddles are forming under the...
