    Cleaning up an overgrown sidewalk?

I have one of these attached to my Greenworks Tool 80v string trimmer. It says to not use it with electric trimmers but mine has the power to do the job. It seems to cut through any thing. https://www.lowes.com/pd/TrimmerPlus-Brush-Cutter-Attachment/50129056

Being prepared for the worst-case scenario...Someone breaking into your garage and robbing you blind

I’ve reported thefts many times but have never gotten anything back. Besides keeping a large barky dog in your garage, do whatever you can do to slow the thief down. If the thief is taking too much time to break in, they get discouraged and move on to an easier place.

Put down a sheet of Masonite first to even out the irregularities in your top. Then put your sheet metal over that.

How to convert a converted room back to garage

I’m in nearby Raleigh. You should be able to do anything you want to your house as long as you own it and live in it. This includes plumbing and electrical. The problem can come when a potential home buyer has an inspection done and they find something questionable. If the work was permitted...

Looking for recommendations- Automatic electrical cord reel?

The current rating for the cable assumes the cable is stretched out flat. When you coil a power cable (leave most of the cable on the reel) , magnetic loops will interact through the coils and heat up the cable, which means you can melt the insulation if you try to run the rated current through...

    Non-wood siding panel

Ensure the bottom edge of the T111 siding is painted. That’s where the splashed up water gets in and soaks through.

    Weed wackers

I have the 80V Greenworks Tool string trimmer and lots of other Greenworks yard tools. I bought a universal tiller attachment, and my Greenworks trimmer tilled my whole front yard with ease. It's a powerful trimmer. The 80V trimmer with battery is on sale right now. Marked down from $350 to...

Why is this socket like this?

Many older vehicles used fatter spark plugs that used a 15/16" socket. There are special deep sockets with the small hole and foam lining to keep you from breaking the spark plug. This looks like a compromise to make a regular deep socket also work for spark plugs.

    LED Landscape Lighting

Sometimes the transformer goes bad. I recently replaced my transformer as it was packed with ants. I bought a new transformer from Volt Lighting that does not have any vents on the side. Happy lights.

Looking for a flow meter for my 3/4" main water line to spot leaks.

I agree with Northislander, the Moen Flo is what you need. I installed not only the main water valve, but have ten water detectors around the house under toilets and sinks. I installed this system after having a few water leaks that left some damage to the house. I had a 40-year old copper pipe...
