Skip to the end for the short TLDR version.
Early this year pre pandemic I put together my ideal compressor using an old R15 pump with a Baldor 5hp motor on a little 30 gallon tank. Its been fantastic up until about a week ago. And now it wont start.
Found that the breaker was tripped. When...
I had a 60 gallon with that same pump & a marathon 6.5 hp motor that I just sold for 600 a few months ago. You got a good deal on it. The pump is quality, just on the loud side.
To buy good bike tools you will be into it 10x what any murray is worth. They were kmart & walmart **** bikes.
If you want to restore it for sentimental value then have at it & just buy what ya need as you need it. Most of the kits are going to have stuff that isnt at all relevant to you due...
New to me Wilton 500.. My first actual bullet (Have a tradesman as well).
Paid 250 with the stand, which is probably too much. But I haven't seen a bullet of any size go for less then 350 local in the last few years. So I dont feel too bad about paying that for a well used, but perfectly...
I had the same pump on my Air America.. Recently sold that & put together a Champion R15a compressor & it made me realize how much I hated the old one. The noise it creates was crazy compared to a solid slow RPM pump.
I will say that the T29s I had was 24 years old & running strong. The...
I just had a bunch of these delivered Saturday. Bought 2 boxes of the plugs (MNPT & FNPT) to switch all my tools over & a couple couplers (one for the end of my reel & one for my little spring hose). So far these are very cool. Lots off airflow, but I have only tested with air guns so far...
I have an uninsulated 2 car Garage & early this winter I installed a NewAir g73 electric heater. I got it knowing electricity was more expensive then the natural gas that is within a few feet of this heater, but the installation ease & cost would take years to break even compared to the electric...
The circuit breaker is there to protect the wiring. As such no more then a 30a breaker with the 10/2. I have 2x 220v outlets within 5 feet of my panel & I used a plug on both. I like to be able to unplug & move stuff without having to screw with wiring.
I have a 4" crescent brand adjustable wrench that was like 5 bucks from TSC... Never used it. But I did find that as soon as I got my little 5" pliers wrench I have been using them a ton.
Its vented.. As clearly shown in the picture on the original post. I wouldn't expect the temp variations to be any more extreme then placing it outside, just like was suggested multiple times on this post & others all over these forums. Adding a second blow off valve up there is also not at all...
Thats actually a fantastic thought. And one I am not at all opposed to. The garage is "finished" but not very well (the sheetrockers were drunk & high as **** the day they did it I assume) so there is no real downside to cutting holes in it. The only slight downside I can think of is that I plan...
Its all short enough that no matter which way I run it there wont be a hell of a difference. Have to use desiccant driers after my filter for anything I really want dry (sand blaster & occasional HVLP).
I would love a horizontal bandsaw, but with space at a premium it wasnt in the cards I ended up with the little trajan 7" cutoff saw & have cut up to 1/2" material & it just breezed right through. And when its not in use it gets sat way out of the way with minimal wasted space.
Because I just saw this not long ago...
Surplus center also has some 30 gallon 2 wheel portable type tanks.. But their shipping is stupid high. 177 shipping if I dont need a liftgate & 322 if I do. I was looking at picking up a couple of them till they gave me the shipping quote.
