    Auto Battery Cable Repair

Wal-Mart sells battery cable savers, their website even says that they are in stock in Ceres. I've used them on a few vehicles where the terminals were corroded all to heck, and the cables were too short to just put a new terminal on the end, and it wasn't worth the headache or the money to...

The Best Ratchet Lube Has Been Discovered

Meh. I've been using what is, I guess, basically the same thing for years in my ratchets(mostly SK). I have been lubing everything with SuperLube grease, and then adding a bit of SuperLube oil to thin it out to where it ratchets the smoothest.

How do you store pliers? Smallest to biggest or different types together?

Mine are occasionally neatly organized in whatever order seems to make sense at that moment, then over a week or two of use, they devolve into a jumbled mess that needs to be dug through to find what I am looking for, then it stays that way for a couple of months until I get tired of digging...

Question for DeWalt 20V cordless tool owners

I leave batteries on all of my Dewalt and Milwaukee power tools, I've not experienced any issues with the batteries being drained just from sitting in the tool. Is it possible that your 961 is somehow being activated while driving around? I keep a lot of tools in the back seat area of my work...

Proper tool or way to support engine and ****** for mounts changes

I've used a chunk of 4x4 post with a couple of 2x4 scraps to space it up above the top of the engine and a ratchet strap as a topside engine support. I've also just used a block of wood and a floor jack on the oil pan. It really just depends on what you are working on, and whether or not what...

Septic sprinkler flooding yard after pump shuts off

I don't know much, if anything about that type of septic system. What about putting in a soakaway in the lawn in that area? Basically, just dig a hole, line it with drain cloth, and fill it with gravel, and put your sod back on top. Whether that will work will depend on your water table.

M12 battery to car cigarette female adapter

What about the current M12 USB charger/power source(48-59-1201)? It has a barrel connector for the heated jackets that puts out 12 volts and I think 2 amps, is that enough? If so, add one of these...

M12 battery to car cigarette female adapter

The 2349-20 adapter doesn't appear to be available anymore? Though you might try posting in the "wanted" section. I have one that I made using an adapter that I got from ebay, and added an adapter plug from an old car battery maintainer. Or you could try something like this, you just really...

    Show your new tool arrivals

The DeWalt drill and impact driver that I keep in the garage are kind of over sized for the kind of stuff I've been working on lately, so I decided to get something a bit smaller.

    Show your new tool arrivals

The Rover light and Power Probe test leads were Christmas gifts. I already have another Testo multimeter like this one, I just got this one so I would have the same one in each of my work trucks. The little Owon clamp meter, I got to replace a missing Uni-T UT210e, no idea if it is any good.

    M12 Must have tools?

I use my M12 Rover and Stick lights, and my impact driver extensively, now thinking about adding the Rocket light as well. I also use my M12 inflator at least every couple of days. The M12 dremel and the newer oscillating multitool are also quite handy. I prefer to use my M12 impact driver...

Purchasing hardware assortment - what sizes

I've been keeping an assortment of grade 5 and 8 SAE hardware on hand in Plano boxes for years, mostly 8-32, 10-24, 1/4-20, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2. I just keep a general assortment in lengths that I feel like I can feasibly use, sometimes cutting down a longer bolt if necessary. I usually just buy SAE...

Rivet Nut W/O-Ring for Fuel Door Replacement?

I don't imagine that a riv-nut is going to be any less water tight than a pop rivet. You could always put a dab of sealant under the head and on the threads if it bothers you enough. I'd probably use a riv-nut if it were mine, just simply because I have a pile of them on hand. Most likely...

It was only a matter of time!

Yeah, I don't think the one in the OP would work very well for me either. I'd probably bend down to pick something up and put the boom through someone's skull, or snag some overhead wire and electrocute myself.

    Small Gas can

Trangia fuel bottle. It looks like your saw has a 6.4 ounce fuel capacity, so about 5 refills per .5 liter bottle. I use these for filling my Coleman lanterns. Some people complain that they leak while dispensing, but if you remove the red knob on top and slip an o-ring on the shaft before...
