I walked up to a fabrication shop, told them i wanted to learn to weld and they taught me how to polish the welds first, when they saw that I was serious,so they taught me tig welding, with miller maxstar 150. It was awesome.

Has anybody tried Eastwood welders? mig or tig

Got a question for you fabrication guys, What does it take to get an apprenticeship in fabrication shop that does classic cars or anything close to it? Or a restoration shop.There is fabrication shops all over south florida, but very few for classic cars. :fingersx:

I want the miller maxstar 150, this is a tig welder, i haven't even tried mig welding, maybe i should, but all i can say is that tig welding can really be fun, its like stitching up metal..so at the end of the day, this is the tool that Im learning on, so i know how to use it and i can vouch for...

that's cool bro! welding is fun, i started going to a friends shop, and she teaches me how to tig weld stainless steel & regular steel. and at night i watch youtube videos when i have time, and daydream about it all day.. eventually i want to go to a class and get my own machine.. *sighs*
