In MD as well with a similar pole barn situation. Builder used the 2” clopay doors. No issues at all so far will being lift,aster 8500 installs myself once it gets warmer out.

Cover driveway in plywood to spread out load of truck? I have a very Long crappy drive and had multiple tri-axle dump trucks and concrete trucks this year with no new damage to the driveway. I know I sometimes overthink things only to make it harder upon myself.

I just build a 28*40*12 pole style and it’s huge. That’s with a full size transit van a subaru and a full size tractor Inside. Plenty of room to walk around and have storage.

How much height will you be gaining? Did you give any thought to lifting the entire garage 2 feet? I see you say the current ceiling height is only 8'. There are some good threads here with people doing a full lift with great results. Cost wise, im not sure which is more effective.

any reason for the ufo style over 4' led florescent? Im in a similiar boat with a 28x40x12 and planning to install 8, 4' led florescents. Electricians just did the rough wiring last week and i hope to have the rough-in inspection this week.
