I use one as sort of a secondary tool bag when I just want to take a few tools with me. It has held up well so far. As others have said, the bag has no real internal organization.
I had the unfortunate need to use a tap extractor yesterday. It was on a 1/4-20 tap. Even when using the extractor as designed it broke twice and ended up using a different technique to solve the problem. I can see how the larger ones might work better but the small one didn't work for me.
I own both the 48/16 and the 59/24 combo sets. I would go for the 59/24 if I could only have one due to the versatility. The 48/16 is nice but the 16" just feels like an over sized torpedo level to me.
I would agree with going wider. It is simpler to tie the new roof section in that direction. If you were to go perpendicular two valleys are created and more complex framing is needed in the roof.
Overall it looks like enough light. Although, you may want to think about where work benches will be located and add a light directly above to decrease shadows on the work area.
I purchased some Jorgensen heavy duty bar clamps in April of this year (2014) on Amazon and they are USA made. Amazon currently states that the heavy duty bar clamps are still USA but not the standard duty bar clamps.
I picked this small Craftsman tool box up for $1. The box is not smashed just a bit rusty. I got for my Dad who needed a shallow auto box for his 34 Ford 3 window.
