    Concrete drying (water) before epoxy...

I saw no information in the instructions regarding a second coat. Oh well. If it starts to mess up at all, I will do the sanding and solvent wipe and then apply another coat.

    Concrete drying (water) before epoxy...

You said this...which raises another question. Is it possible to apply water-based epoxy on top of itself once it is cured? Is that just overkill?

    Concrete drying (water) before epoxy...

No, this is a four year old slab. The question is the amount of time for it to dry after etching and using water. Basically I don't want to apply epoxy if it is going to come up later because of trapped vapor due to me not waiting long enough.

    Concrete drying (water) before epoxy...

I know the title sounds kind of odd, but here is my dilemma. I have perfect weather this week and I etched the floor two days ago. The floor is seemingly dry and I REALLY want to epoxy today, but after nytehawk's thread, I am wondering if I should wait a week just to make sure everything is bone...

My experience with Rustoleum EPOXYShield (with photos)

No powerwashing, just degreased two times with a heavy scrub brush, then etched in the same manner (squeegeed off after every effort). I may wait until tomorrow, but it depends on how it looks when I get home this evening.

My experience with Rustoleum EPOXYShield (with photos)

Well, from what you said, I am glad to hear that it will go smoother than I had originally planned. If the floor dries, I should be able to apply tomorrow evening after work. Then it will be sufficiently cured enough to move stuff in on the 4th. I would love for it to be finished by then. Did...

My experience with Rustoleum EPOXYShield (with photos)

Thanks man. Like I said, I have followed all instructions exactly to this point, so hopefully everything will go smoothly with epoxy application. Did you use an 18" or regular 9" roller during your application? Did you trim with a brush?

My experience with Rustoleum EPOXYShield (with photos)

I am also applying the basic EpoxyShield in my garage. I just got done etching with the supplied citric acid this evening on about a 400 sq/ft floor, and I am applying the epoxy on Thursday (allowing time to dry properly). I am glad to see that it comes out nicely when all said and done. I...

What are you going to put in this "safe" room?

    Cracked concrete

If you are going to do an epoxy coating on the floor, is it better to do an epoxy filling in any cracks first? Not trying to thread hijack, but this is something that I have been thinking about myself.
