    Just picked this vise up. Wasn't looking for a vise but couldn't pass it up for $20. It's a Mohawk 6" but can't find any information on it. No other markings on it. I'll take some pictures of it tonight.

    weird looking vise.

    There are no casting marks what so ever on the vise. I will be putting it up on the vintage vises soon after I clean it up a bit. I've used it a bit today and I can see it being one of my favorite tools in the shop. Its very fast and holds just about anything really tight.

    they are pretty good testers. we give them to all the apprentices we got. we tell them to test a known source first them test the device that needs testing then go back to the know device to just make sure its working.

    thanks for the reply TM2002. so would you say this is a Canadian version of the 397 is Delco (Division of GM) or 257 is Paramount/Allegretti & Co. And are there any other prefixes for Canada?
