I've always known the Dorman tool as a freeze plug puller. And I also thought that the ownership of that logo on the socket was put to rest. I just can't remember who.

Duro/Indestro, Herbrand, Vlchek, and Barcalo were suppliers to Western Auto. The owner of Western Auto was related somehow to the owner of Bog Mfg.
I think it was the latter part of the 70's or early 80's
I do know that in 74 or 75 that I purchased a couple of pieces that I still have and they are USA.
