Is it a powerpile gas valve? Looks a lot like the one in my fireplace.
Try jumpering the t'stat wires at the gas valve and see if it lights.
Next thing you can try is replacing the powerpile. They do last a long time but not forever!
As mentioned above, it could be a bad connection.
Yep. It sold yesterday for $1000 CAD and I had purchased some new leads for it to test its ability to lay down some bead. So about 800 CAD in the end. So your $650 estimate is pretty accurate.
Happy that it has gone somewhere that it will be used. It was doing nothing in my garage.
I still...
I have my dad's Lincoln Weldanpower 125 that I got running again after many years of being silently stored in the shed.
Last spring, I changed the oil and got rid of the old fuel and put a bit of seafoam in to help clean things up. Luckily, my dad had shut of the fuel **** and the carb and...
Sorry for the 4 year late comeback to your question!
UNC 20 or 1/4 inch coarse thread.
Will try to get out to the garage to grab a photo. It may take another 4 years though!
You might want to check some of the manufactures of these products sites. Many mini split and split systems are able to produce heat at a much lower ambient temperature than the heat pumps of years past.
Daikin is one manufacture that claims 100% heating capacity down to -5 deg F and some...
I bought some 1/4 inch course thread stove bolts, ground the edges to fit and cut to length. Installed the jaws and the little No. 1 is ready to be mounted back up to the bench.
Except for a couple of scratches and some Trane executive beige overspray it is pretty much as new.
Now I need to re...
Another option is the Johnson A19 ABC coil under thermostat for refrigeration and air conditioning. Not as cheap as some of the options listed above but has a cool industrial look to it. No heat anticipators on this stat so it really isn't for comfort heating. I had one that came off a...
Thanks, I may try that.
I had looked at the Irwin site for North America and there is a part request form. May just try that too.
I did take a 1/4 coarse thread carriage bolt and it threaded right in with very little resistance and a fairly tight fit.
Will take what I have left to the Bolt...
Sorry for the old thread revival but....
I have a 30 year old Record Number 1 vice that is in fantastic condition. It rode around in my service truck for years and ended up on a bench at home.
Probably 15 years ago, I sheered the jaw bolts doing something that I obviously needed a bigger vice...
Those old Reznors were pretty solid unit heaters back in the day.
That one is a natural draft unit that has a power ventor motor added to the flue gas outlet.
Now that looks like it is a factory option but it looks like it has been thoroughly screwed with.
If the heat exchanger is solid you may...
Here's mine. Nice little lift. Has a single locking cam that you back the lift down on at full height.
It isn't the highest mid rise around, but it is perfect for these little cars.
In very nice shape and was a decent deal.
Great build.
One of the reasons I keep checking in here from time to time.
My Inlaws have a Camp (I would call it a very nice home) on Great Pond/Belgrade Lakes area. Are you somewhat close to there?
Cheers,
BK
The remaining parts of the bolts/screws came out quite easily as they were just sheared off and not stretched. I could take the whole shootin match to the bolt house and match it up I suppose.
Thanks!
