    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

I love the pool addition! I love the shade too. I want something similar but i want something that will not pass water through - so a covered patio without building a full roof structure. Do you regret not having it be water proof?

Broken drill press bad and table

I'd appreciate suggestions. My Buffalo Tools Corp drill press fell over and broke the cast iron base and the table mount. I doubt the MFG will be able to replace, given that they are import based and this is 20 years old. The press works great and I would love to fix somehow. Any thoughts from...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

I know I'm bringing up an old topic, sorry. But, Jack, how did you secure the fabric around the tubing on your awning? How's has it held up over the years? Thanks, take care Bill

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

This weekend I pulled apart my father's 70's vintage Poulan bow saw. It had sat for at least 20 years. I took it down to the engine (covers off) but did not go into the engine at all. Cleaned 40 years of saw dust and oil goop out of it. Replaced the plug, cleaned the coil off, washed the air...

Re: The Stahlwille garage Does the carport roof just pitch to one side slightly for drainage? Nice looking gutters

When you have time I'd like to see some more pics of the terrace you built. In particular the roof. Looks great. Fine shop! Bill

    Deck as a roof...idea

I'm in the beginning stages of planning a backyard shop/pool house type structure. The shop will be a basic garage, about 20 something X 20 something. My idea is to build a deck on top, rather than just a gabled rod. I'll lose storage, but no big deal. Iim think the deck would overhang one side...

    H & C Concrete Sealer - anybody used?

I am cheap, lazy, and want my garage floor coated with something. Primary reasons: dust, dust, appearance, and dust I am very interested in H & C Solvent Based Sealer. http://www.hcconcrete.com/products/solid-color-stains/solvent-based-sealer/ I say this because I have some limited experience...

    Remove rotten/stuck seal?

It's Generac 1292-2 pump. The seals are where the pistons go through this housing. It is the rubber seals I'm talking about. I can't get a pick at them because there is a ridge that the seal fits over, and I can't for sure get at everything. I'll try the carb cleaner. I had not thought of...

    Remove rotten/stuck seal?

I'm rebuilding a pressure washer and cannot get the old seals out of the housing. So far I've scraped and soaked in gas, spirits, and wd-40. Dang things just won't let loose. Right now I've got most of them out, but for the bits stuck to the walls of the pump. Any suggestions on best way to...

    Plywood Cabinets - Warped

I ended up building a frame of 1x2 and screwing to the inside of the doors. Also added some more hinges. I've spent some time putting things in this weekend. While it holds a lot, I've already maxed it out. There will be more cabinets and benches but this is a good start so far. Bill

    Plywood Cabinets - Warped

By the way, here's a terrible pic of the issue. Yes, they are big cabinets, maybe too big (a little tall). BUT, right now I could unscrew it from the wall and move it if I needed too. And, I can always remove the top, cut it down, and make it shorter. I plan to keep the shelves back inside it...
