I'm rebuilding a pressure washer and cannot get the old seals out of the housing. So far I've scraped and soaked in gas, spirits, and wd-40. Dang things just won't let loose.
Right now I've got most of them out, but for the bits stuck to the walls of the pump.
Any suggestions on best way to get it out?

Do you have a picture? You can get it with a pick? Not sure where this is on the machine. Carb cleaner works wonders above all else. Soak overnight if that is what is required.

Is there anyway you could get a small puller on them... Something like a windscreen
wiper puller... A picture of the offending little ****** might yield some sage advise.

It's Generac 1292-2 pump. The seals are where the pistons go through this housing. It is the rubber seals I'm talking about. I can't get a pick at them because there is a ridge that the seal fits over, and I can't for sure get at everything.

I'll try the carb cleaner. I had not thought of that.

Drill small hole on flat surface on seal and start a screw into it then use pry bar on bottom face of screw. I have to do this to some general pump models.
